💥 3 ways to show up in this mo(ve)ment! 💥
Can you believe we’ve been sheltering in place for five months now?! Since then, we’ve done so much, which only proves that there are many ways to show up in this mo(ve)ment. Here are three of them!
1) Donate to our COVID19 Scenario Planning Fund
Mutual aid is about solidarity, not charity. And that means you gotta be plugged into community groups to know where to send donations. That's why EB PREC's Covid19 Scenario Planning Fund is democratically managed by our staff collective.
Anyone from our staff collective can nominate a group to share money with. So far, we've donated to groups including the People’s Community Medics, Planting Justice, and the Village. We also donated $1,000 to help save the Warriors House! Read more about them below and donate to our COVID19 Scenario Planning Fund here.

2) Join Our Staff Collective
We’re growing fast and no one can stop us. If you want to work in a democratic, BIPOC led cooperative that takes land and housing off the speculative market to create permanently affordable, community controlled land and housing, JOIN US! We’re hiring for two positions!
Click here to apply to be our INVESTMENT AND FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR or our MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR.
3) Build Community Ecosystems With Us
In April, we launched a series of Scenario Planning community calls to strategize for land liberation in a rapidly-changing landscape. Between COVID, growing inequality and the ongoing Uprising, 2020 has called forth new ways of organizing, building, and being.
Over seven sessions across 12 weeks, we surveyed the past, present, and future possibilities real estate in the East Bay. Our biggest community learning: #LandWithoutLandlords calls for organizing entire ecosystems of land and capital. Learn more in our Scenario Planning zine, dropping in October!
In our next phase of community power-building, we're holding Community Exchange sessions to build with key partners, community members, and allies in land & housing justice. Join us for our next Community Exchange Call with Majora Carter, Urban Revitalization Strategist and all-round genius. We’re building on health, wealth, land, and futures from Oakland to the South Bronx!
Invest $1,000, sign up as a Community Owner, and/or join us at our next Community Exchange Call!
