A Call to Focus on Freedom! & EBPREC October Recap/Coming Events
Kin! The apparent lack of alternatives is not important. Focus on Freedom!
This is a call to remember and co-create for the now.
This is a choice and willingness to work together and grow.
We have all we need in us to live - to thrive more than we know!
True Selves Shining

EBPREC is gearing up on graphics, materials and a video for its "soft launch"; when we reach out to anchor members to steer and keep EBPREC on mission. If you haven't already, look out for our email or call!
The "soft launch" is preparation to make the actual launch a success. Communications will be picking up. The membership drive, will be fruitful because of you!Sign up to be a Community Owner if you haven't already.
Introducing!!! EBPREC Member Levels

UPDATE: EBPREC and Oakland Community Land Trust are in partnership to receive a property donation! Carolyn North, an elder in our community and founder of The Daily Bread Project, is donating her family home of 50 years in South Berkeley to the coalition of the Oakland CLT, SELC and EBPREC. There are many elders in the community who want to do good with their properties as they pass on, and we are so grateful that we will be gifted this property, and the opportunity to pave a way for future donors to support the community through this partnership!

Indigenous People's Day Sunrise Ceremony at Alcatraz island renewed our sense of why we do this work and who we do it with. Giving thanks to those who paved the way for reclaiming native lands!
Good Reads!
Patriarchy under US imperialism stems from the same root as anywhere else: the development of private property. Frederick Engels traced the root of patriarchy to the displacement of indigenous matriarchal societies and the class antagonisms that arose from the development of surplus product. This aricle from Black Agenda Report breaks down patriarchy and its roots, as a tool of the ruling class!
We look forward to speaking with you when we start calling on Anchor Members!
