Member Meeting & Anniversary Party Report Back

Our first year of full operations culminated in our first ever annual Member Meeting and Anniversary Party, marking exactly one year since EB PREC's launch. On December 5th, Greg presented our First Annual Report to a room full of EB PREC members and now you can read it too! Click here to read about a year's worth of re-imagining land and housing, movement building, and more! 

The seated Member Meeting portion of the evening conveyed much information – land acknowledgement by Indigenous Director of the Board, Pat St. Onge, libations with Black East Bay Director of the Board, Candice Elder, reviewing important slides from the Bylaws and the annual report, and three ballot measures up for vote, all emceed by our visionary Director, Noni Session.

Members of all categories asked great, inquisitive questions of the happy and proud Staff Trustees presenting the year's work and the future outlook. Afterward, members and non-members snacked on delicious donated mochi treats and sipped on lavender lemonade from The Well, and ate savory, hearty tamales from La Oaxaquena, while others commemorated the event at the "Oh Snap!" photo booth, and still others wandered the gallery with the paintings by Wakanda Dream Lab. There was some shaking to a great playlist put together by Greg Jackson, and a wonderful time was had by all.
