New Resident Owners Moved In

Kimi Harvey-Scott and Brit Frazier are the newest Resident Owners of the EB PREC, accompanied by Kimi's daughter. EB PREC completed the interior rehabilitation of the property on Prince Street in December and the residents moved in over the holidays.

The residence is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom single family home in Berkeley. It has a yard and a performance practice studio in the rear. Over the course of 6 weeks, we remodeled the kitchen, rebuilt the bannister (with room for a time capsule!), installed a shower enclosure, scraped peeling paint, repainted, patched holes, and other repair work that needed tending. There's still much to do. In the coming months, we plan to replace the roof, install new gutters, repair the exterior wood shingle siding, and handle a tree abatement issue. All of this, in addition to routine maintenance. If you, or someone you know, has the skills and/or licensing to help us complete this work or future work, please reach out to Projects Director, Shira.  We are creating a contractor, consultant, vendor, and property maintenance service list for our projects.  We love nothing more than being the conduit that facilitates community helping community.

EB PREC NEWS

EB PREC IN THE TRANSFORMATIVE 25
Integrated Capital Investing names EB PREC a member of The Transformative 25, its list of 25 funds transforming finance for people and planet. Jennifer Astone, Principal at Integrated Capital Investing compiled the list after searching unsuccessfully for a list of funds that prioritize how investment and finance is offered, not just its outcome or impact.

Funds selected for inclusion must meet at least three of the following four criteria:

    • Use integrated capital to reach those unable to access finance
    • Engage with creative finance structures for shared prosperity
    • Focus on social, relational, and ecological returns as mission centric
    • Reshape ownership and governance for shared prosperity

and we're in good company. See who else made the list on the Integrated Capital Investing blog.

NONI SESSION IS SOCAP GAME CHANGING FOUNDER OF COLOR
Social Capital Markets Global names Executive Director, Noni Session a Game-changing Founder of Color. The list recognizes 20 dynamic leaders on the frontlines of innovation, moving with bold purpose and driving change. Noni is one of 25 leaders selected from 166 nominees for the award.
